InOs Assist
InOs Assist is the remote support client of the InOs platform. It is a modified version of RustDesk 1.4.9, rebranded and preconfigured to connect exclusively to the self-hosted InOs Assist server. See NOTICE.md for the modification notice and docs/README-upstream.md for the original RustDesk README.
What is different from upstream
- Branding: app name "InOs Assist", InOs icons and artifact names
(
inos-assist,com.goinos). Authorship and copyright of the underlying code remain with RustDesk / Purslane Tech Pte. Ltd. and contributors. - Preset server: the rendezvous/ID server (ID port 21116, relay 21117), its public key and the technician-console API URL are compiled in from values injected at build time (no hostname in source); see BUILD.md "Build-time server configuration" for how the server values are passed at build time.
- No upstream calls: no version check or auto-update against upstream, and the API server can never resolve to an upstream host.
- Build profiles: a compile-time
customercargo feature produces a restricted incoming-only client for customers; the default build is the staff console. See BUILD.md.

InOs Assist is free software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (see LICENCE), the same license as RustDesk. The complete corresponding source code of every InOs Assist build is available in this repository: https://git.goinos.com/inos-oss/assist-client. Each commit here is the complete source of one InOs Assist release (see PUBLIC-COPY.md).
Repository layout
- This public repository holds one commit per InOs Assist release; see
PUBLIC-COPY.md. The base is RustDesk 1.4.9 (upstream tag
1.4.9) with thelibs/hbb_commonsubmodule vendored in as normal files (see NOTICE.md); compare against that tag to see the InOs modifications. server/hbbs/— the modified ID/rendezvous server (upstream pin, patch, Dockerfile).
